Shea Construction was founded in 2024 by Matthew Mullin after twenty years of watching the same story play out across Oklahoma. Homeowners paying for quality work, then waiting one or two years on a house that should’ve taken six months, with shortcuts hidden behind every wall.
Matthew started Shea to do it differently. We use only licensed and insured subcontractors. We hand you a clear timeline before we start, and we send progress updates the whole way through. Are you and your subcontractors licensed and insured?
Yes. Shea Construction operates under the General Contractor and Home Remodeling categories, which do not require a state level license in Oklahoma, and we carry general liability insurance over $1M. Every subcontractor on our jobsites carries their own license and insurance, fully documented before work begins. According to the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board, trade specific licenses (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) are required at the state level, and we verify them all.
How long will my project actually take?
Honest answer: it depends on scope. A typical bathroom remodel runs 3 to 5 weeks. A whole home renovation runs 3 to 6 months. A custom home runs 6 to 9 months, not the 1 to 2 years some Oklahoma homeowners have unfortunately experienced. Can you handle storm damage and insurance restoration?
Yes. Storm damage repair and insurance restoration apply across every service we offer, from roofing to framing to interior finish. We work with your insurance carrier to document the damage, scope the rebuild, and complete the work to code. Oklahoma averages around 50 tornadoes per year according to NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center, so storm rebuilds are part of what we do.
What's the 3D design software I keep hearing about?
We use Plan 7 Architect Pro to render your project in three dimensional detail before construction starts. You’ll walk through your remodeled kitchen, custom home, or metal building on screen, see the cabinets, the layout, the finishes, and approve the design before we touch a stud. Most contractors don’t offer this. We do.
